What worries me is one of them. She is a friend not of me but my 22 year old daughter. I know her views on certain categories of immigrant to be umm, err. Given the content of the Great Britain thread there is a possibility that she might well write something which could clearly violate UK legislation on these types of issue.
To avoid embarassment I have been making excuses to avoid her using my computer. But I have a more fundamental worry. If someone uses my IP address does that make me responsible in any way, either in law or to this club, for what they write? I don't know wether there is any speccfic legislation, but proof that it was you that posted the comments would be high on the list - just look at the issues over speed cameras and who was actually driving.
The other point to remember is that if you were liable, then think about all the internet cafes that would be liable for a hell of a lot more.
At the moment there is more of a push for the ISP's to take responsibilty for the things and comments that they host, going after individuals of the public as a whole is an logistical nightmare.
